Anvil Case Foam Specs
By Dave Blees [21030552]Deteriorating foam in the Chroma's Anvil cases is one of the banes of long-term owners. The material degrades to a sort of goo and, if the instrument is in the case during this process, the finish on wood parts in particular is damaged, necessitating a tedious cleaning process. Several owners have replaced the foam in their cases; thanks to Dave for providing these measurements.
This is a list of stock Anvil Chroma case foam filler pieces that I compiled for my refurb project. My nearest source for the foam from here in southern Oregon turned out to be B&H Upholstery Supply in Eugene, where the total came to about USD$115 with the 1" & 2" pieces cut to size.
